The Meadows Foundation will hold its Fourth Annual Springtime Tea on Saturday,
April 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Van Liew-Suydam House, 280 S. Middlebush Rd.,
Somerset. Our featured speaker, Michèle LaRue, will perform “Someone Must Wash the
Dishes: An Anti-Suffrage Satire,” a 1912 play written by pro-suffragist Marie Jenney
Howe. Ms. LaRue’s interpretation has won wonderful reviews. You won’t want to miss
her performance and all the traditional goodies—finger sandwiches, scones with clotted
cream, and a tempting assortment of desserts—that have made this event so popular.
To get your tickets, at $30 each, please make your check payable to “The Meadows
Foundation,” and send it to P.O. Box 6321, Somerset, NJ 08875-6321.
Have a great day!
Yours cordially,
Chris Retz
