George Washington Birthday

                   119th Annual Business Meeting

The Officers & Trustees of the Washington Camp Ground Association are pleased to announce that their 119th annual business meeting, and George Washington's birthday celebration, will be held on Friday, February 22, 7:00 pm at Madeline's Restaurant.  Madeline's is located at 518 Vosseller Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ. 

This year's keynote speaker is historian Arthur Lefkowitz, author of four books about the American Revolution, whose topic will be "Washington's Legacy in Life & Death."

Following the program, everyone is invited to enjoy cherry pie, vanilla ice cream and coffee. Anyone wishing to become a member or renew their membership may do so at the meeting.  Annual dues are $10.

Do you know where George Washington was born? Or what his first job was? Or even what political party he belonged to? What important innovation did he introduce into American farming? Rockingham Historic Site will be celebrating George Washington's 281st birthday on Sunday, February 24. The special event tours, which emphasize details of Washington's life instead of the regular history tour of the house, will be offered between 12 noon and 4 pm (last tour at 3 pm) with refreshments served after each tour. Tour size is limited and reservations are required.  Please call 609-683-7132 for reservations.
